Named after a section in a high school literature textbook, The War Against Time was formed in Georgetown, Texas in 2009. After a baker’s dozen years of member changes, hiatuses, and a global pandemic, their first studio album ‘Signatures’ was fully realized in 2022. 

Inspired by bands such as August Burns Red, Periphery, Veil of Maya, and other progressive metalcore groups, ‘Signatures’ is a blend of crushing metalcore riffs, complex time signatures, and catchy choruses. 

With their sophomore album ‘Initials,' The War Against Time leads you on a temporal journey through time and space. Going not only across the globe, this work traverses dimensions in its metaphoric exploration of the human psyche. 

Currently, The War Against Time consists of full time members Joey Zung on screamed vocals and guitar, Ian Reichenberger a.k.a DJ IRL as live DJ and clean vocals, Nathan Fajardo on drums and backing vocals, and Devin DeVoge on guitar.
